CODE YELLOW - TORNADO 1.) Command Staff should monitor NWS updates about current and forecasted weather severity. 2.) Nursing Staff will prepare for transporting patients to refuge area: walkers, wheelchairs, gurneys, etc. 3.) Nursing Staff will prepare patients for transport to refuge area: medications, oxygen, medical charts, etc. 4.) Command Staff will decide based on forecasted weather severity about ordering hospital personnel to stay at home. 5.) Command Staff will decide based on forecasted weather severity about canceling outpatient referral clinics and non-emergency surgical procedures. 6.) Hospital staff should contact CMH and/or their Department manager if they are unable to make it to work due to the weather conditions. |
