CODE WHITE - BLIZZARD OR ICE STORM 1.) Command Staff should monitor NWS updates about current and forecasted weather severity 2.) Command Staff will decide based on forecasted weather severity about Clinic closures and canceling elective inpatient/outpatient surgical services 3.) Command Staff will decide based on forecasted weather severity about dismissing hospital personnel who commute from long distances 4.) Command Staff will decide based on forecasted weather severity about ordering hospital personnel to stay at home 5.) Department managers should consult with Command Staff regarding necessary staffing levels for current patient census/acuity 6.) Hospital personnel should not risk their lives in an attempt to come to work 7.) Hospital personnel should contact CMH and/or their Department manager if they are unable to make it to work due to weather conditions |
